Bill Gunville

William J. Gunville joined the Thomas-Pierce & Company team in July of 1990, after an Bill Gunvilleimpressive twenty-seven year career in the funeral industry.

A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Bill began his career in funeral service while a student in 1959. He attended Newman Preparatory School, Burdett College and New England Institute of Mortuary Science. Bill became a licensed funeral director after passing The National Conference Exam in 1962.

Prior to joining Thomas-Pierce, Bill served on the staff of a large Boston area funeral home, was president of a major vault company in the Boston area and was a territory representative for Batesville Casket Company in central Connecticut.

His background in the funeral service profession enables him to relate to the funeral home owner during the transfer from one generation to the next.
